Who's this route for?
This route is for the students whose schools have been directly registered with us and hence, are going to host the SiL Subject Test this year.
We suggest parents checking the schools’s updates/announcements regarding any upcoming assessments or tests that allow students to join voluntarily, and whether there is any information brought up about SiL Subject Tests. If you do see the school’s notice with a paper/electronic reply form and you would like to enroll your child in this year’s Subject Test, please grasp the time to do before the deadline set by the school.
**Our small team is actively trying to reach out to schools across the world, and in case your school isn’t yet a SiL’s hosting school, feel free to reach out to the school and ask if they can register to become one. Key Dates to Take Note of:
Each hosting school has their own authority to set the deadline for registration, so please refer to their posts/contact them to find out the info about that. (The registration deadline, regardless of the geographic location, should still fall between 7th and 14th April 2025 for the English Subject Test 2025 – School Entry batch)
Another piece of info that worth confirming with the hosting school (which should have been included in the notices/posts issued) is the date and time for attending the Test. We have set the window for the hosting schools to conduct the SiL English Subject Test between 5th and 16th May 2025).
Release of the Results + the Arrangement of Cert & Result Slip Collection:
Our SiL specialists team aim at sending out all the e-certificates and result slips back to the hosting schools by 20th June 2025. Please note that this can be affected by the total number of students taking part in the test, if the number is far greater than what our small team has expected, due to the fact that all papers are hand-marked by us, we may have to slightly postpone the date of issuing the certs and result slips. (Meanwhile, we will keep our hosting schools updated regarding our progress and when they can expect to receive the documents from us)
If your child is scoring Top 1% among their batch in the test, they will receive a medal from us. The medal will take longer time to make, and so, will come separately, probably in July/August 2025.
The hosting schools will help distribute all the certs, results slips as well as the medals to the students who have taken part in the SiL Test internally via the School Entry Route.
Test Fee
Please refer to the school notice or directly approach your school’s test coordinator to find out the test fee.
**For students in the UK, a 20% VAT has to be added to the fee**
And just a reminder that in case your child can’t attend the test, there won’t be any refund from the school, and to be fair to other students who have already taken the test, we don’t offer retaking or rescheduling of our SiL Subject Tests.
