SiL Testing System – E‑Shop Terms & Conditions and Policies

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SiL Testing System’s e‑shop (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated through Sharing is Learning Ltd / SiL Testing System. By purchasing or downloading any digital product from our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before completing any purchase.

 

  1. Nature of Products

All products sold through our e‑shop are digital learning resources, including but not limited to worksheets, test papers, teaching materials, guides, and digital content for parents, teachers, and students. No physical goods are shipped.

  1. Suitability of Products

Before completing your purchase, you are responsible for ensuring that the product selected meets your needs and is suitable for your intended use. Our digital resources are clearly described, and sample pages or previews may be provided when available.

Because of the nature of digital downloads, refunds are extremely difficult to arrange once a product has been accessed or downloaded. Please review your order carefully before making payment.

  1. Digital Download Access Window (14‑Day Rule)

Upon successful purchase, you will receive access to download your digital resource(s).

  • The download link is valid for 14 days from the date of purchase.
  • After the 14‑day window expires, no additional downloads, link resets, or re‑issuance of files will be provided, unless required by law or explicitly agreed by us in writing.

It is your responsibility to download and securely store your files within the access window.

  1. Refunds, Cancellations, and Exchanges

4.1 Digital Products – All Sales Final

Due to the immediate and irrevocable access to digital content, all sales of digital products are final once the download link has been issued.

We do not offer refunds, cancellations, or exchanges except under the following circumstances:

  • A duplicate order caused by a technical error;
  • A genuine system failure resulting in non‑delivery of the download link;
  • Consumer rights as required by applicable law.

In any such case, you must contact us within 7 days of purchase with proof of issue.

4.2 Mistaken Purchases

If you purchased the wrong resource, please contact us before downloading the file. While we cannot guarantee refunds or exchanges, we will review your request on a case‑by‑case basis.

  1. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and current information during checkout.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies.

  1. Intellectual Property Rights

All digital resources available on the e‑shop are the intellectual property of SiL Testing System / Sharing is Learning Ltd. Purchasing a digital resource does not transfer copyright ownership.

Permitted Use

You are granted a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable licence to:

  • Download and use the resource for personal or classroom use;
  • Print materials for your own teaching or learning purposes.

Prohibited Use

You may not, under any circumstances:

  • Share, distribute, or upload the resource to any public or private platform;
  • Resell, sublicense, or claim the materials as your own;
  • Use the content for commercial resale, training programmes, or mass distribution without explicit written permission.

We reserve the right to take action against copyright infringement.

  1. Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in the currency shown at checkout and may change at any time. Payment is securely processed through trusted third‑party payment providers (e.g., Stripe). By purchasing, you agree to their terms and processing of your payment data.

  1. Order Processing and Delivery

Once your payment is completed:

  • You will receive an order confirmation email;
  • You will receive access to download the purchased resource(s) within minutes.

If you do not receive access within 1 hour, please contact us.

  1. Technical Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary software and device capability to access and use the digital files (e.g., PDF reader, storage space, stable internet connection).

We are not responsible for incompatibility issues resulting from your device or software environment.

  1. Data Protection and Privacy

We are committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with GDPR and applicable data‑protection laws.

Key principles:

  • Personal data is collected only for purposes such as order processing, account management, and customer support.
  • Data is retained only for as long as necessary (e.g., financial records up to 6 years, inactive accounts up to 3 years).
  • Payment information is processed securely by third‑party providers and never stored by us.
  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Losses arising from incorrect product choice;
  • Inability to access downloads after the 14‑day window;
  • Technical issues on your device or network;
  • Indirect or consequential damages.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

  1. Updates to Products and Terms

We may update, improve, or modify our digital products or platform at any time. Terms may also be updated periodically. The version in force at the time of purchase applies to your transaction.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles.
